Traffic Office Apprentice

The role

We are recruiting for a Traffic Office Apprentice to provide support to our Plant Division.  The Apprenticeship is work-based and will provide the successful candidate with the necessary skills and knowledge to function in the role of supply chain traffic office clerk.  Aspects of the role include:

  • Communicating with customers / colleagues (including those working remotely, third party carriers, agencies and other organisations).
  • Delivering excellent customer service to customers and colleagues, including identifying customer / colleague needs and responding appropriately.
  • Keeping up to date with any changes in legislation, processes and technology that affect the role.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for own safety and that of others at all times.
  • Showing personal commitment to minimising the effect of work activities on the environment; making recommendations for improvement where relevant.


The candidate:

The successful candidate will have a minimum education standard equivalent to GCSE English grade 3-2 (D-E) be competent using IT and possess good written and verbal communication skills.  It would be a distinct advantage to be well organised, enthusiastic and have a keen interest in working within the construction industry.
