Cadburys Factory, Keynsham

The former Cadbury’s Factory in Keynsham totalling 220 acres was acquired by Taylor Wimpey Plc for a development of 700 homes, a primary school, shopping centre, sports and social clubs. MF Freeman acquired the commercial element from Taylor Wimpey totalling 300,000 sq ft of Victorian factory buildings in 2014. A planning application was submitted within 3 months of acquisition for conversion into 140 assisted living apartments, a 90-bed care home, as well as office space, retail outlets and leisure facilities. MF Freeman were approached by St Monica’s Trust in 2015 with an off-market offer which we accepted and the scheme with a Gross Development Value of £70m is now nearing completion
