We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a substantial sustainability investment at our head office, reflecting our commitment to responsible energy use and long‑term operational efficiency.
The works included the installation of an upgraded 51.5kWp Solar PV system, featuring 103 high‑performance PV modules and a 4.6kWh battery backup unit. This enhanced setup enables us to generate more renewable electricity on site and store it for use during periods of higher demand, reducing reliance on the grid and increasing overall resilience. With a projected payback period of three to four years, the system is expected to deliver long‑term cost savings as well as clear environmental benefits.
Alongside the solar improvements, we have completed a full transition to energy‑efficient LED lighting throughout the head office and workshop. The upgrade replaces all fluorescent tube fittings with modern LED battens, spotlights, dimmer controls and PIR‑activated zones, resulting in improved lighting quality and significantly lower energy use. This modernisation also reduces maintenance requirements and supports our ambition to operate as efficiently and sustainably as possible.
This project was made possible with support from the Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) grant, which has enabled us to maximise the impact of our investment and accelerate the delivery of sustainable improvements across the business.
These upgrades represent an important step forward in our sustainability strategy and underline our continued commitment to net zero. We’re proud of the progress made and look forward to sharing further developments as our sustainability journey continues.
